) has an exciting leadership opportunity at the Salasin Project in Greenfield! The Salasin Project (
) provides community based, trauma informed, wellness supports to individuals (primarily women) and families in Franklin County who have been impacted by violence, specifically interpersonal, sexual, and/or domestic. Responsibilities of the Salasin Director include leading a dynamic team to offer individual support and create conditions for center based activities and events, as well as administrative, programmatic and operational oversight. Familiarity with grants management, resource development and budget administration is essential. In addition, this role is responsible for collaborating with numerous local providers and engaging in coalition building and statewide advocacy.
Qualifications: This role requires extensive knowledge of the impact of violence on individuals, family and community. Relatedly, having a depth of understanding of the intersection of economic insecurity, oppression, the dynamics of social justice in addressing violence and its consequences, as well as appreciating the unique experience of living in a rural setting is critical. Our approach also recognizes the disproportionate impact of violence on people of color and/or who identify as LGBTQ+. Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience required; Master’s degree preferred. At least three years supervision experience and demonstrated competency in working with persons with lived experience from diverse backgrounds. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation.
Position details: The Salasin Project is sibling to four other Consortium communities in greater Franklin County. The Salasin Director is a member of the Consortium’s Program Director Team and this position is salaried with weekday hours, with some nights and weekend hours on occasion.
