Human Resources Assistant I Town of Greenfield Human Resources Department Full-Time / Benefited Position 37.5 hrs per week Responsible for routine and general but highly important administrative support functions including administration of all benefits for retired employees and other activities to the HR Generalist and Director in a fast-paced, high pressure municipal personnel department; Train as backup for active employee benefits administration.
Be a self starter and possess initiative to plan and work independently, be task flexible with ability to prioritize several on-going tasks and work under constant time constraints to meet deadlines.
Ability to interact in a positive and effective manner with poise, tact and diplomacy with employees, retirees, public and within the HR department.
Must have the ability to multitask with frequent interruptions; be comfortable with being a change agent.
Must ensure confidentiality of information.
Associates Degree in HR or related field and/or experience; Two years of municipal personnel office experience and municipal insurance processing experience preferred.
Proficiency with MS Office and G-Suite required, including Excel; knowledge of Budgetsense and/or MUNIS desirable.
