The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for planning, monitoring, and directly supervising pharmacy personnel in the safe, effective, and cost-effective acquisition and use of drugs within UH Regional Hospitals. The pharmacy supervisor will serve as the PIC. The oversight encompasses all operational areas of inpatient pharmacy practice including, but not limited to, the unit dose and IV preparation areas, with a focus on quality improvement, compliance, implementation of clinical programs, employee engagement, and day to day operations in the pharmacy.
Experience & Knowledge: Minimum 3 years hospital pharmacy experience with emphasis on computerized unit dose, sterile products preparation, and clinical practice systems. Completion of an ASHP accredited hospital pharmacy residency and/or a graduate degree (i.e., MSc, MBA) or prior supervisor experience preferred
Education/Expertise: BS of Pharmacy or Pharm. D degree (preferred) Residency preferred but not required.
Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. RN, RRT): Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Ohio, R.Ph.
