Reports to the Revenue Cycle Director and keeps Director apprised of current work status and issues to be resolved. Communicates regularly with internal UCLA Healthcare Management and Administration. Works independently and autonomously.
Directly oversee and manage all aspects of the day-to-day Collections and Refund operations of Patient Business Services Operations (PBS). Acts as a liaison/coordinator with Finance, Reimbursement, Budget Planning, Human Resources, Marketing and Contract Negotiation, Legal, Compliance and others. Major responsibilities include: Monitoring performance of all PBS functions through established performance indicators; Overseeing all applicable vendor relationships, including non-core technology vendors, or other third party business relationships; Leading PBS group meetings and all activities in the absence of the Revenue Cycle Director; Working closely with the Revenue Cycle Director to accomplish the goals, objectives and strategic plan established for all PBS; Overseeing the development of policies and procedures; Developing internal and external communications and reports as needed.
Minimum of 10 years Hospital Collections Management experience; BA/BS degree required.
