Performs a variety of cross-functional duties including intravenous (IV) catheter insertions, specimen collection, computer entry, and patient greeting and escort in a patient-focused department.
EDUCATION: High school graduation or equivalent; Completion of an approved nursing assistant certification program.
EXPERIENCE: 1 year related experience preferred.
LICENSE/CERT/REG: CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification by the Maryland Board of Nursing. CPR certification required.
SKILLS: Basic math skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred. Venipuncture competency and intravenous(IV) catheter competency.
