Preferred knowledge and experience working with the University Employee Database system (EDB) sufficient to prepare complex personnel actions accurately and in a timely manner.
Working knowledge of current laws, codes and guidelines as they relate to employee relations.
Demonstrated experience in facilitating and/or mediating complaints.
Demonstrated ability to understand and explain Human Resources policies and procedures and collective bargaining agreements.
Ability effective track information, determine appropriate due dates and maintain various logs, records, databases which accurately reflect on-going administrative issues.
Demonstrated ability to learn and/or adapt to new systems
Knowledge of University collective bargaining agreements and University personnel policies and procedures preferred.
Excellent proofreading skills to review materials for accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality of personnel information.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, faculty, students and administrators.
