Registered Nurse (RN) & Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The Franklin County Sheriffs Office is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) as well as per diem nurses to work in a very dynamic, high energy environment.
The RN is responsible for the delivery of inmate care through the process of collecting health status data, nursing diagnoses, goal setting, planning, implementation and assessment.
The RN and LPN work in a team relationship to accomplish the completion of daily nursing duties.
This includes but is not limited to conducting health intakes on inmates, administering to the health needs of the inmate population, maintaining adequate supplies, supervising the distribution of medication, maintaining complete and accurate records and statistical data, and assisting in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures.
Excellent intake skills, ability to work independently (once fully trained in corrections) is a bonus.
Corrections training provided. Competitive salary ($55k to $80k depending on experience) along with excellent state medical benefits, pension and tuition remission (100% at state schools).
Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse under the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
