The Position
RCL Mechanical, Inc. is looking for an experienced Accounting Clerk. This position requires individuals to multi-task, be highly organized and detail oriented, and be able to work on a team. Candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to stay focused at the task at hand. The candidate must posses strong Microsoft operating systems capabilities, QuickBooks Online experience, effective communication skills, a solution orientated attitude and ability to work collectively with other team members. This role is essential to the production of timely and accurate financial reporting and will be responsible for monthly reconciliation of accounts within the accounting software, as well as an aid in Accounts Payable, Payrolland Accounts Receivable.
Responsibilities
- Full oversight and management of the purchase order/invoicing process
- Reconciliation of payments to vendors/subcontractors in Service Titan
- Perform all functions of AIA Commercial Billing
- Managing shared mailboxes to distribute information as necessary
- Reconcile monthly statements from supply houses
- Reviewing expense transactions daily & exporting completed items on a daily & weekly basis
- Distributing weekly OT Reports for review by department heads
- Reconciliation of accounts within Quickbooks online
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Generate internal reports as needed
- Assistance with Payroll responsibilities as needed
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management
Requirements
- Associates degree or higher required.
- 5 years accounting experience (focus in Commercial Construction preferred)
- Experience using QuickBooks Online (REQUIRED).
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to quickly adapt to new software and tools.
- Experience with Monday.com is a plus.
- Experience with ServiceTitan is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
- A proactive and positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Knowledge of HVAC terminology and processes is a plus.
