Job TitleSr. Interior Designer
Position Location: Boston
Approx. Length of Position: Direct Hire
Degree Required: Bachelors degree in interior design from a CIDA accredited program
Requirements:
- Eight (8) years of experience as an interior designer/architect in a client services firm
- Leads development of interior design concepts for multiple projects of varying complexity and typology, concurrently and successfully
- Listens to, analyzes, and develops a thorough understanding of client criteria and synthesizes them into interior design solutions
- Prepares, reviews and conducts client-facing presentations
- Generates schedule for time budgeted to complete project tasks
- Makes independent decisions on design problems and methods from a sound knowledge base
- Applies sound and diversified knowledge of design principles and practices
- Reviews designs/drawings/documents to ensure adherence to industry codes and regulations and firm standards
- Generates project documents including plans, sections, details, etc. in coordination of a complete construction document package
- Responsible for the conceptual direction of FF&E and selects key pieces
- Provides design and technical detailing guidance to other staff members
- Directs the work of project team members on projects
- Provides performance feedback to team members and to their performance managers
- Manages the performance and professional development of performance advisees, as assigned
- NCIDQ certification or Registered Architect
- Sustainable Building Materials certified
- LEED GA
- WELL certified
Technical / Software skills:
- Advanced skills with: Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign, Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Enscape
- Designer Pages for furniture specifications
- Proficiency with Deltek Vision
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
