The Facilities Manager supervises staff and vendors, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with applicable codes and regulations
 
What will you be doing:

<li>Maintain shelters, other program buildings and administrative offices, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and compliance with Massachusetts building, fire, and health codes. </li>
<li>Manage emergency repairs, routine maintenance, and inspections, tracking requests to resolution.</li>
<li>Manage all vendors and contractors, ensuring quality, safety, and budget compliance. </li>
<li>Lead emergency preparedness, safety drills, and regulatory compliance efforts in collaboration with organization's leadership. </li>
<li>Plan and coordinate facility upgrades, renovations, moves, and capital improvement projects in collaboration with organization's leadership. </li>

Our ideal candidate has:

<li>5+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in shelters, residential, or institutional settings.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Massachusetts building, fire, and health codes; familiarity with shelter and food safety regulations. </li>
<li>Hands-on maintenance skills (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry). </li>
<li>Strong project management, vendor coordination, and leadership skills. </li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management systems. </li>
<li>Ability to respond to emergencies during evenings/weekends. </li>
<li>Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable transportation. </li>
<li>Preferred: experience in nonprofit or social service organizations, relevant certifications (OSHA, FMP, CFM), and bilingual English/Spanish or English/Portuguese.</li>
