<li>Minimum 3+ years of heavy equipment operation experience, preferably in tunnel or underground projects.</li>
</ul>

<li>Knowledge of rigging techniques and safety standards.</li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret grade plans and follow instructions.</li>
<li>Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.</li>
<li>Physical ability to perform labor tasks when necessary.</li>
<li>OSHA 10 or 30 trained preferred</li>
<li>Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills to collaborate with a team.</li>
<li>Physical fitness and ability to work in confined or underground spaces.</li>

Here's what you'll be doing: 
<ul>
<li>Equipment operation: Operate common heavy equipment such as a crane (as CCO crane operator), loader, backhoe, forklift, skid steer, and drill rig in a safe and professional manner. Operate specialized underground/tunnel equipment such as Locomotive, Pressurized face Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), Slurry &amp; Water Treatment Plant in a safe and professional manner.</li>
<li>Safety and compliance: Following all safety regulations, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and monitoring the tunnel for hazards.</li>
<li>Equipment maintenance: Performing regular inspections and minor maintenance on machinery to ensure it is functioning correctly and to prevent breakdowns.</li>
<li>Performance monitoring: Perform daily equipment upkeep tasks and basic maintenance.</li>
<li>Team collaboration: Communicating with supervisors, engineers, and other construction workers to ensure project goals are met.</li>
<li>Record keeping: Maintaining accurate logs of work performed, equipment status, and any incidents. </li>
<li>Key responsibilities involve adhering strictly to safety protocols, monitoring equipment performance, communicating with the project team, and sometimes managing tunnel control systems for ventilation and traffic.</li>
<li>Attend and actively participate in daily activity plans and safety meetings.</li>

Position Overview
Directs&nbsp;crew members&nbsp;and equipment&nbsp;and plans and executes assigned work or tasks&nbsp;by performing the following duties.&nbsp;
Job Duties
What You’ll Do:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Including but not limited to: &nbsp;</li>
<li>Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process&nbsp;</li>
<li>Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy&nbsp;</li>
<li>Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems &nbsp;</li>
<li>Removal of hazardous trees&nbsp;</li>
<li>Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more. &nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
What We’re Seeking:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Love of the outdoors&nbsp;</li>
<li>Required: Valid driver's license</li>
<li>Required: Previous tree climbing experience&nbsp;</li>
<li>Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire &nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Preferred: Relevant CDL, pesticide applicator's license and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law</li>
<li>Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist ®, ISA Certified Tree Worker ®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®</li>
</ul>
