Duties/Responsibilities:
- Organize the purchase execution through experience with ERP/MRP Systems with PO placement and confirmation.
- Analyze MRP exception reports (pull, push, cancel) and reschedule previously released orders to respond to changes in the Master Production Schedule or customer demand.
- Verifies demand and compares standard cost/quoted job cost to the supplier pricing. Mitigates price increases, negotiates price decreases.
- Expedites material from suppliers to meet the master production plan.
- Maintain material due dates for upcoming and past due needs.
- Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered and resolves shipment discrepancies from suppliers.
- Comply with Company SOP’s.
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of inventory control, purchasing and manufacturing/production planning.
- Learning experience in an MRP system
- Willingness to learn how to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work well with a team / Strong Interpersonal skills
- Assertive, multi-tasking, team player capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of work experience and education preferred.
- Minimum of 1 years of work experience in Purchasing and/or Material Planning Management, preferably in manufacturing
