A notable, James Beard warding winning restaurant group known for delivering elevated culinary and hospitality experiences seeks a charismatic and service-focused General Manager to lead their upscale Italian restaurant with an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality, elevated service, warmth, professionalism, and passion for operational excellence.


The restaurant is located in an affluent Metro-Boston neighborhood west of the city. This is a contemporary modern American restaurant built for high volume with fine-dining sensibilities. The menu is upscale and diverse offering guests menu items made on the custom wood-fire grill, hand made pastas, classic cocktails and a varied winelist. The space has a large bar, two patios and a dedicated private dining room for events. The core of the restaurant groups culture is to provide elegant, warm and hospitable service to all and those standards of excellent service are taken seriously.


This is more than a restaurant job its a calling for someone who lives and breathes hospitality, values team development, and believes in building a strong, people-first culture. This position will take an active role in activating the burgeoning bar scene as a community touchpoint, improving overall internal culture, and unlocking new sales channels, from events to outreach. Most importantly, the next GM is a positive professional who leads with heart and head while taking the culture of caring for others

seriously.


Ideal Candidates are:

  • Entrepreneurial. A natural leader with a polished, professional presence and charisma.
  • An experienced hospitality-focused General manager. Experience in fine dining is preferred.

  • A seasoned professional who has been through new restaurant openings (NROs) and knows how to create structure while cultivating energy.

  • A people-first leader who can also able to think strategically about sales growth, marketing, and event activation.
  • An ownership mentality which shows deep care about facility, ambience and guest experience, team success, and reputation in the community.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-shifts with purpose and inspiration.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to deliver exceptional hospitality and polished service.
  • Partner with the director-level and marketing team to activate the bar, increase beverage
  • sales, and capitalize on the sales mix.
  • Develop and execute community outreach, marketing strategies, and event sales to
  • grow revenue.
  • Foster a close working relationship with the Executive Chef and management team
  • empowering and trusting them to own their areas of responsibility.
  • Analyze service and operations to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Be hands-on in preserving the facility, championing cleanliness, care, and consistency.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years in upscale/fine dining leadership roles. At least 1-2 years of General Management experience.
  • A growth mindset never complacent, always striving.
  • Strong financial and operational acumen.
  • Confidence without ego. Charisma without dominance.
  • Experience with NROs or concept launches is a plus.
  • Deep appreciation for consummate hospitality and team culture.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the Newton/Wellesley area
