We have an immediate need for an Accounting Manager who is eager to grow their career. Our exclusive client, a national distributor, is seeking a senior-level accountant ready to take the next step professionally. Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the general ledger and monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of the complete month-end reporting package.
- Support and contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes, requiring strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency.
- Manage the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with financial statement preparation, internal reporting, and variance analysis.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with a desire to be hands-on across all areas of the accounting function.
- Strong understanding of traditional accounting manager responsibilities, including GL oversight, financial reporting, and process improvement.
- Prior exposure to payroll and budgeting processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; public accounting experience is a plus.
- Prior management experience is preferred but not required—a strong senior accountant ready to step into a leadership role will be considered.
