My client, a rapidly growing private equity-backed safety systems installation and services company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. What You'll Be Doing:
In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the financial health of the organization while developing your skills in various areas of accounting. Responsibilities include:
- Financial Management: Oversee and ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions and accounting data. Maintain general ledger and records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial activities.
- Reconciliation & Analysis: Perform account analysis and reconciliations to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Month-End & Reporting: Lead the timely completion of the month-end close process and prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Asset Management: Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules.
- Audit & Tax Support: Assist with the preparation of information required for fiscal year-end audits and corporate tax returns.
- Research & Compliance: Research and advise on proper GAAP accounting treatment for new processes, ensuring adherence to standards and maintaining strong internal controls.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Support ongoing maintenance and related requirements for the general ledger system.
- Special Projects: Participate in exciting and impactful projects as requested.

What We Offer:
- Competitive compensation ($60,000 to $80,000) -- depending on experience higher compensation could be considered but this is the ideal range.

Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Ideal for a recent 2025 graduate or a professional with 1-4 years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience.
- Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results on time.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
