Emergency Preparedness Manager-Vermont
Our client is seeking an experienced Manager to oversee Emergency Preparedness & Management. MUST have a Bachelor's Degree in Disaster/Emergency Management, Public Safety/Disaster Operations, Cyber Security, Public Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in HAZMAT, working in a Cyber Security-related role with hospital emergency preparedness experience, is preferred. Certification in disaster, hazardous materials decontamination, or ICS/HICS training is also preferred.
Summary of the Emergency Preparedness Manager:
The Manager of Emergency Management and Preparedness is accountable for the organization’s overall planning, organization, direction, coordination, and evaluation of emergency preparedness activities and readiness. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: financial management, quality improvement, staff education /development, program development, and communication. The incumbent will ensure that the facility maintains a state of preparedness for all emergencies, both physical and cyber-related, that would impact operations and the organization’s ability to meet organizational goals and responsibilities effectively and efficiently to the communities and populations served. This individual is responsible for ensuring compliance with all emergency preparedness regulatory requirements outlined by state and federal agencies, and serves as the organization’s primary liaison with all organizations and agencies regarding actual emergency events, emergency preparedness planning, and exercises.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
- MUST have a Bachelor's Degree in Disaster/Emergency Management, Public Safety/Disaster Operations, Cyber Security, Public Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in HAZMAT is preferred.
- Working in a Cyber Security-related role with hospital emergency preparedness experience is preferred.
- Certification in disaster, hazardous materials decontamination, or ICS/HICS training is also preferred.
