We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team and support day-to-day financial operations.


Position Summary

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of billing transactions, payment postings, and month-end reporting. This role is critical to maintaining financial integrity, supporting internal teams, and upholding compliance with GAAP and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and process 15–20 invoices daily.

  • Manage and track accounts receivable and incoming payments.

  • Apply payments to accounts and perform daily bank deposits via remote login to Chase account.

  • Handle collections and follow through to completion.

  • Perform accounts payable functions, including vendor payments and reconciliation.

  • Prepare and transition preliminary financial statements into GAAP-compliant reports.

  • Assist with month-end close activities and ensure accuracy of financial records.

  • Compile regular financial reports for internal review.

  • Answer phones and provide the highest level of customer service related to billing and payment inquiries.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • 5–6 years of AP/AR experience in a construction or project-based environment.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow-through.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Experience with BuildOps and/or Sage accounting systems.
