JOB SUMMARY:
Perform general accounting duties including processing accounts payable, providing calculations to settle the Bank’s daily cash position, wire management and account reconciliations. Provide backup for other department functions. Reports to Controller
DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Maintains all aspects of accounts payable processing.
- Processes incoming and outgoing wires.
- Prepares daily cash position worksheets and determines daily cash needs of the Bank.
- Posts to various subledgers of the Bank including investments, fixed assets, prepaids and accruals.
- Prepares various daily, monthly and other account reconciliations and resolves variances.
- Prepares various reports as needed.
- Provide backup and assistance for other accounting positions.
- Perform other duties as requested by Controller
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or relevant field
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal guidance
- Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential data
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail is critical
