NELC is rapidly expanding the number of hospitals it serves and is participating with its hospital members in the implementation of several new population health and disease management programs for which care is provided in the home. NELC is seeking talented staff to keep pace with our growth.

New England Life Care is hiring a Full-Time Order Processing Technician to support our growth. We’re looking for some that has experience, enjoys a fast-paced environment, and knows how to provide a top-notch customer experience. This position is 40 hours a week, but also gives you the flexibility to maintain a better work-life balance. The normal schedule will be Tuesday - Saturday from 9:00am – 5:30pm, with a $3.50 an hour differential for any weekend shifts. On call hours would be required once fully trained.

Order Processing Technician - Represents an entry level position into the department. Candidates who meet defined goals, objectives and accomplishments can generally expect to be promoted in 0-2 years to:

Job Responsibilities

  • Compares Patient Supply Profile with each delivery tickets for accuracy.
  • Accurately selects appropriate inventory items in accordance with delivery tickets in a timely manner.
  • Properly packages patient orders to ensure integrity of products during shipment, to include proper labeling of bags and boxes to be delivered by drivers.
  • Packages and ships deliveries via U.P.S., USPS, FedEx and courier when necessary. Demonstrates ability to track packages as required.
  • Maintains inventory at designated levels utilizing appropriate order placement process as needed to maintain stock levels.
  • Receives products into the warehouse, verifying packing slips to the corresponding shipment and reports any discrepancies to the Materials Manager.
  • Routinely rotates all shelved stock when receiving new product.
  • Maintains pick / pack area in a neat, clean and organized manner.
  • Participates in scheduled patient rounds communicating appropriate information as needed.
  • Documents all patient conversations in MIS including any follow-up to be completed or completed.
  • Communicates expected time of satellite office deliveries to satellite office staff in a timely manner.
  • Keeps delivery technicians informed any new delivery requirements including time restrictions.
  • Maintains accurate patient specific delivery instructions and patient delivery addresses in MIS.
  • Assists in the co-ordination of equipment and supply retrievals from patient homes.
  • Reviews pharmacy compound schedule against completed orders on a daily basis to ensure that no scheduled deliveries are missed.
  • Obtains pharmacy technician license

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in customer service field preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred.
  • Valid Driver license in state of employment.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security regulations preferred.
  • Certification/Licensure as Pharmacy Technician as required by state specific Board of Pharmacy regulations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge / experience with microcomputer systems such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Dependability in attendance and job performance.
