Job Title: Program Director

Job Summary:

We're in search of a Program Director to work on a full time basis for our Recovery Now program, part of our Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Division. The Program Director is accountable to the VP of BHRS, who is responsible for providing supervision and training. The Program Director is one who actively promotes the philosophy of the Gándara Center and maintains a high level of commitment to the program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of contact for partner referrals
  • Participates in Springfield Police Department HUB
  • Oversees data collection and submission of reports
  • Engagement in community and key stakeholder partnerships
  • Responsible for the quality and quantity of all services provided by the program.
  • Provides direct support, training and supervision to staff.
  • Oversees the supervision and training of all program staff.
  • Hires, terminates, promotes, evaluates and disciplines staff as needed.
  • Develops accountability systems for staff and individuals served
  • Ensures orientation is conducted with all new personnel on program operation, procedures and practices, and that all new employees attend New Employee Orientation.
  • Monitors case management as it relates to quality assurance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Embrace and work in a culturally and liguistically diverse commuynity
  • Support all parhs to recovery and have a minimum of 5 years of solid recovery
  • HAve a comprehensive undertanding of the substace addiction and recovery
  • Communicate effectively orally and in wiriting
  • Have working knowledge of community building and planning
  • Have proven skills in critical thinking, leadership, and oragnazation, as well as strong interpersonal boundaries
  • HAve better than average experience using a computer and required software
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
  • HAve experience and knowledge of the Greater Springfield Community, it's organizations and service providers
