We are currently hiring a full-time Research Associate to support the investment team in our Needham, MA office. There is flexibility for hybrid work with at least two days in the office. The Research Associate will be focused on thematic research across areas targeted by proprietary Portfolio Managers and will conduct fundamental research of companies within proprietary equity strategies. A successful Research Associate is intellectually curious, detail oriented, flexible in thought, and willing to put in the effort to build the knowledge base required to add value in the research process.
Job Responsibilities
Work with the investment team and through self-study to build the skills required to effectively:
• Conduct fundamental company research including industry analysis, financial statement review, modeling, valuation, materiality assessment, management interaction and written research findings.
• Conduct original research across targeted market, industry, and sustainability themes in collaboration with the investment team. This work forms the foundation of sustainable growth opportunities across strategies.
• Publish written reports across thematic and company-level research to support proprietary strategy management and reporting/marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree with a record of high academic achievement
• Relevant work or internship experience preferred
• Demonstrated interest in investing, capital markets and sustainability
• Clear desire to work toward attainment of the CFA charter
• Proficiency with MS Excel and familiarity with Bloomberg helpful
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated team-player with the ability to work efficiently independently
