The Team
A fast-growing, entrepreneurial organization is expanding its U.S. finance team and seeking a Senior Accountant-Tax in the Boston Metro Area. This role will report into finance leadership and play a key part in supporting tax compliance, reporting, and international growth initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from a larger public accounting firm or corporate tax environment who enjoys working hands-on in a dynamic setting.
The Job
- Support tax compliance activities including federal, state, and indirect tax filings (VAT exposure a plus)
- Prepare and review tax-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations in accordance with GAAP
- Monitor updates to tax laws and assess impact on the business
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to provide documentation and support
- Partner with the finance team during month-end and year-end close processes
- Strengthen internal controls and recommend improvements to tax reporting procedures
- Contribute to process development as the organization continues to scale globally
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting-tax, or corporate accounting
- CPA is strongly desired
- Strong understanding of GAAP and tax compliance principles
- Experience with ERP/accounting tools (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced Excel
- International business or multi-entity experience strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $110,000 – $120,000/ year
