About the Role
We’re seeking an accomplished Director of Healthcare Technology Management to lead operations at a reputable hospital in Boston, MA. This strategic leadership role requires a proven track record in HTM, strong operational expertise, and the ability to drive both patient satisfaction and organizational performance.
As Director, you’ll provide comprehensive oversight of clinical and technical staff, manage capital planning initiatives, and serve as the primary client liaison while driving operational excellence and organic growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
• Provide oversight, hiring, onboarding, and continuous development of all clinical and technical staff
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop team members to build a skilled workforce and support career growth
• Lead high-performing teams with focus on retention, performance excellence, and professional development
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence
Strategic Operations & Planning
• Lead capital planning, project management, and technology assessments to support operational efficiency and innovation
• Oversee program management and ensure full regulatory compliance across all clinical operations
• Drive operational performance improvements and implement best practices
• Manage purchasing, subcontracts, and financial planning to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with organizational goals
Client Relations & Partnership Management
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients, fostering strong partnerships through proactive communication
• Ensure client satisfaction through service excellence and responsive problem-solving
• Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with customers, staff, and vendors
• Drive organic sales growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding service offerings
Vendor & Supply Chain Management
• Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiations, and performance management
• Optimize supply chain and service delivery through strategic partnerships
• Manage subcontractor relationships and ensure quality standards
Financial Management
• Assume full responsibility for account’s operational and fiscal performance
• Apply strong business acumen and financial management expertise to budgetary and operational decisions
• Ensure cost efficiency while maintaining quality standards and service excellence
JD Summary
Leadership & Team Development – Oversee hiring, onboarding, development of clinical & technical staff; recruit, train, mentor teams; drive performance and accountability. Strategic Operations & Planning – Lead capital planning, technology assessments, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, project management, and purchasing. Client Relations & Partnership Management – Serve as primary client liaison, ensure satisfaction, grow partnerships, expand service offerings. Vendor & Supply Chain Management – Manage vendor selection, contracts, subcontractors, supply chain optimization. Financial Management – Lead operational and fiscal performance, budgeting, cost efficiency, and business decisions.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• 5+ years of management experience in healthcare technology settings
• 5+ years of experience managing biomedical and imaging services within a large healthcare system
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in maintenance and repair of clinical devices
Technical Expertise
• Strong knowledge and practical understanding of regulatory compliance standards including:
o CIHQ (Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality)
o DNV (Det Norske Veritas)
o TJC (The Joint Commission)
• Broad understanding of day-to-day service challenges in healthcare technology management
• Experience with capital planning and technology assessments
