We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team, focused on the transportation of specialized materials for life sciences. Successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of sensitive materials, ensuring that they are transported in strict compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. This position requires a high-level of professionalism and a commitment to safety. The job will be based out of our global headquarters in Beverly, Massachusetts. Your work will be highly i️mpactful.
Duties
- Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat Endorsement and a clean driving record.
- Ability to handle freight safely, including loading and unloading procedures.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $26 and $35.
