Administrative Assistant
The School Administrator Assistant provides essential support to both Mill Pond School leadership, staff, students, and families by managing administrative tasks, coordinating communications, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and a commitment to fostering a positive school environment.
The Mill Pond Schools, with locations in Springfield and the Berkshires, serve students—kindergarten through age 22—who have social-emotional and/or behavioral challenges, a learning disability, or who may have a diagnosis of high-functioning Autism. We are committed to serving the whole child, including the child’s family. Our goal is to assist students in developing the skills necessary to successfully return to a less-restrictive environment, and, ultimately, to their previous school setting.
Schedule
Monday: 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday–Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Occasional evening hours required for school events and conferences.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree.
- 3+ years of administrative or office support experience (school or equivalent).
- Experience in handling scheduling, correspondence, and recordkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and vendors.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Experience working in educational settings with students of varying backgrounds; presentations and diagnoses preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
