About the Role:

The Mailroom Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient handling and distribution of all incoming and outgoing mail within our health care services facility. This position is responsible for accurately sorting, logging, and delivering mail and packages to the appropriate departments and personnel in a timely manner. The role requires meticulous attention to detail to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information contained in correspondence. The Mailroom Clerk supports the overall operational flow by managing alphanumeric data entry related to mail tracking and filing. Ultimately, this position contributes to the smooth communication and logistical functions essential to patient care and administrative efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in mailroom operations or a similar clerical role.
  • Basic proficiency in alphanumeric data entry and record keeping.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily pickup of mail from local post office.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages promptly and accurately to designated departments and staff members.
  • Prepare outgoing mail by sorting, labeling, and ensuring proper postage and documentation are applied.
  • Maintain accurate records of all mail transactions using alphanumeric data entry systems to track delivery and receipt.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve mail-related issues and improve mailroom operations.
