Responsible for providing financial leadership and accounting management with the purpose of driving
profitability in partnership with the leadership team while ensuring internal controls are in place for
compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Directs budgeting, audit, tax, banking, and
accounting activities, including oversight on General Ledger, Cash Management, A/R, A/P, Payroll, Fixed
Assets, and the generation of Financial Statements in coordination with the corporate finance team. Works
within the Finance Department reporting directly to the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
Provides management with timely review of organization & financial status and progress to drive
optimal business results each period. This includes tracking KPI’s and financial metrics.
Owns all activities associated with the Financial Close process (3-day close), including tracking of
month end activities, preparing and/or reviewing journal entries and ensuring the General Ledger is
reconciled each period.
Maintains accounting controls by setting/following policies and procedures, complying with federal,
state, local and parent requirements.
Responsible for the overall preparation of the annual budget, as well as quarterly forecasts. This
includes preparing necessary supporting documentation and justification.
Responsible for the overall cash management and cash improvement strategy, including supporting
the appraisal and business case for capital investments (CAPEX). Tracking of CAPEX and overall
maintenance and accounting for Fixed Assets is required.
Reviews and approves half year and annual tax package for Centralized Tax Department and.
Advises management about desirable operational adjustments due to local tax code revisions.
Acts as the lead for both internal and external financial audits and prepares reports required by
regulatory agencies.
Support the business from a Finance perspective with updates needed to ERP capability and required
functionality, including partnering to drive improvement in the operational accounting of the
manufacturing environment (standard costing / cost accounting).
Some limited travel is required. 2-3 trips per year for conferences or other events.
Qualifications:
3+ years working knowledge of financial systems and processes within a manufacturing
environment.
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. An MBA is seen as a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational and analytical skills.
Prior experience and proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy in all
work.
Ability to work effectively on your own initiative and effectively contribute within a team
environment.
Must exhibit good judgment, ingenuity, and personal as well as professional integrity.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages 1-2 non-supervisory employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization & policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees as needed; planning, assigning, and
directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and
resolving problems.
Areas of supervisory responsibility will include but not be limited to Payroll, some Human Resources support,
Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and some Customer Service.
