JOB SUMMARY:
The Waitstaff will be responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring customer satisfaction. They should have experience in a fine dining and upscale restaurant. A warm friendly smile is a must as well as a willingness to learn and perfect the etiquette needed to complete our guests' exceptional dining experience as well as work as a team to create a pleasant dining experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Taking orders: Waitstaff will take orders for food and drinks from customers. They may use a point-of-sale system to relay orders to the kitchen.
- Serving food and drinks: Waitstaff serve food and drinks to customers. They may carry trays to deliver orders.
- Maintaining cleanliness: Waitstaff maintain the cleanliness and ambience of the dining areas.
- Handling payments: Waitstaff handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Answering questions: Waitstaff answer customer questions about the menu and daily specials.
- Making recommendations: Waitstaff offer menu suggestions and help customers choose.
- Checking on customers: Waitstaff check on customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
EDUCATION & SKILLS:
- Experience as wait staff, server or in a similar role preferred.
- Experience operating a cash register and using ordering systems.
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good physical condition.
