About the role

This role is the lead analyst sitting inside of one of our functional teams, marketing or product, executing best-in-class measurement, analytics and modelling initiatives to drive growth across the organization. Leveraging your analytical and business experience, you could find yourself measuring marketing halo impact, business development effectiveness, product performance, and organizational operational health - collaborating across all business functions to drive a data-first culture.

What you’ll do

  • Solve a wide variety of complex analytical challenges across all functions, dynamically balancing multiple engagements
  • Execute end-to-end data projects from conceptualization through to deployment, working with stakeholders to optimize for scalability, performance, and reliability to address specific business challenges and objectives
  • Conduct exploratory statistical analysis to investigate ad hoc questions and address anomalous data
  • Analytical needs can include: data aggregation and creation, data cleaning and manipulation, predictive modeling, and visualizations
  • Leveraging technical models, guide stakeholders through the interpretation of results and the integration of actionable insights into their business workflows
  • Provide technical expertise and thought leadership on developing analytical tools and proprietary data assets, and oversee building these areas directly
  • Foster a data-first culture organizationally by developing educational materials and leading training and upskilling across the organization to ensure all stakeholders are aware of all of our most current capabilities (software, tools, data analysis techniques, etc.)
  • Maintain critical organizational dashboards using visualization best practices, and understanding when alternative platforms are recommended to balance priorities and target timelines

Experience we’re looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an analytical role within a DTC organization (startup experience preferred)
  • Has worked closely with different functions within an organization as the Analytics expert (Marketing, Business Development, Engineering, Product, or Science) with a strong business acumen; able to speak the language of each unique function for seamless collaboration
  • Proven history of proactively driving actionable insights across multiple functions of organizations that resulted in measurable positive outcomes, and continuous iteration on those projects
  • Proficiency in exploratory data analysis and creative problem-solving for dataset collection and performance estimation in the absence of labeled data
  • Deep understanding of cloud services, architecture, and scalable solutions required in cloud environments, specifically AWS
  • Prior experience with Tableau required, Metabase (or equivalent), and experience with web analytics tools (ex. Heap, Google Analytics, or Adobe)
  • Fluency with common analytical toolsets including Python, R, SQL, etc., and is able to educate others as needed
  • Ability to influence others within fast-growing environments towards data-driven decision making via excellent presentation skills (both written and oral); able to translate complex analytical concepts into accessible insights for various business stakeholders and executives

Salary: $110,000 - $160,000, depending on experience and qualifications
