- Shift/Hours: 1st Shift — Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Job SummaryThe Material Handler supports a fast-paced production environment by performing activities related to the receipt, handling, storage, and shipment of materials. This role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production operations, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while meeting productivity and quality standards.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform physical activities related to unloading, storing, picking, labeling, packaging, and shipping materials
- Assemble products into complete packages, including software, medical or pharmaceutical products, PC boards, accessories, manuals, and data sheets
- Perform packaging tasks such as labeling, counting, sorting, operating small production equipment, and preparing boxes
- Execute basic computer transactions and scans to receive, put away, transfer, kit, ship, or return materials
- Conduct cycle counts and record results per site inventory control processes
- Operate material handling equipment (MHE) safely and efficiently
- Provide material support to production operations and customer requirements
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and government regulations
Required Skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience performing basic warehouse computer transactions and scanning
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to safety, security, and proper MHE operation
Preferred / Additional Skills
- Basic experience with Oracle
- Understanding of warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution processes
Experience & Education
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree a plus
- Experience: 1–3 years of related experience preferred
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Lifting and carrying products up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate noise levels
- Safety shoes with impact and compression protection required
