Salary Range: $78,000 – $86,000 annually
Bonus: Annual bonus potential up to 3%

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join our client, who is a leading healthcare insurance company. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong auditing experience and a passion for driving compliance, efficiency, and operational excellence in the healthcare industry.
What You Will Do:
The Internal Auditor will develop and implement audit practices, evaluate internal controls, and conduct audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. This role involves reviewing business processes, risk management, and internal controls, while also identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements. The Internal Auditor will manage and execute projects from the annual audit plan, collaborate with business partners, and contribute to the annual risk assessment process.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct internal Audits, 3rd Party Vendor reviews, and special assignments

Analyze and evaluate business processes and internal controls for efficiency and compliance

Assess potential risks across departments and recommend mitigation strategies

Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements

Perform root-cause analysis to determine of identified issues

Prepare audit workpapers documenting testing, findings, and recommendations

Facilitate and conduct process/control walkthroughs and audit meetings as assigned

Communicate findings and corrective action plans to stakeholders

Conduct off-site reviews of external partners and third-party vendors

Assist in Risk Assessment activities as needed

Support external audit requests as needed

Perform other duties as assigned
What We are Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

3+ years of internal or external audit experience (healthcare or insurance industry preferred)

Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.) or actively working toward one
-
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience with data analysis and tools such as Access, SQL, ACL, or Visio

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently

High degree of professionalism, integrity, and adaptability
