Job Description
We are seeking an Analytical Chemist to support a dynamic client team focused on formulation research and development for cutting-edge drug modalities. This role is ideal for a scientist with strong LC-MS experience and a background in analytical chemistry, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and perform analytical assays focused on lipid nanoparticle and protein characterization using LC-MS, LC-MS/MS, UPLC, SEC-MALS, and related techniques.
- Support material characterization, process optimization, and formulation development of lipid-based and protein-based therapeutics.
- Write test methods, SOPs, and study reports with a focus on lipid and protein analytics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including genetic medicine, formulation, and analytical development, to ensure the timely delivery of assay data.
- Troubleshoot, interpret, and present experimental data in multidisciplinary team meetings.
- Maintain detailed records in electronic lab notebooks and sample management systems.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in life sciences with 3–4 years of industry experience or M.S. with 1–2 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with lipid and protein LCMS assay development and optimization.
- Experience with QExactive or Orbitrap instrumentation.
- Ability to work independently after initial training and troubleshoot experimental results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lipid nanoparticle formulation or protein therapeutic development.
- Familiarity with assay qualification following ICH guidance.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage workflows and deliverables.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.

Location: Boston, MA (commutable candidates encouraged to apply)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $36–$39/hour
- Annual Equivalent: $74,880–$81,120 (based on education and experience)
