Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) – Buzzards Bay & Dennis, MACape Cod Veterinary Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Manager to join our leadership team. This role oversees inventory operations across our two specialty and emergency hospitals while managing a dedicated inventory team. About Us

As the Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of our medical and surgical supplies. You’ll ensure accurate inventory levels, efficient ordering, and cost-effective purchasing while building and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role requires exceptional organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operations in a fast-paced veterinary hospital environment. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and mentor a team of 3 inventory staff across two hospital locations.
    • This position is based at our Buzzards Bay and Dennis locations, with regular travel between sites.
  • Manage ordering, stocking, and distribution of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and equipment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery, competitive pricing, and contract compliance.
  • Monitor inventory levels, implement controls, and prevent shortages or overstock.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership and clinical teams to forecast needs and support patient care.
  • Analyze purchasing data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safe handling of controlled substances.

Qualifications:

  • Previous inventory management or supply chain experience (veterinary, medical, or healthcare preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience supervising a team.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems and Coupa.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.
