POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing and Community Development, the VP, Community Banking and Development Officer will be based in their designated market area and will develop a business development, community outreach, and engagement strategy. They will lead and coordinate a wide range of initiatives in the community and participate as a visible and active member of the community, with the goal of enhancing the Bank’s deposit growth and referral activity within the community.
The Community Banking and Development Officer will work in close partnership with a Commercial Lender, Mortgage Loan Originator, and Branch Service Officers assigned to their market area. They will ensure RCB has a strong presence in the community by joining relevant organizations, participating in events, and fostering deep relationships with local stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Referral Strategy
- Develop and execute a community outreach and engagement program that builds relationships and drives business growth.
- Identify and refer prospective small business and commercial clients to the appropriate internal teams (Commercial Lending, Treasury, etc.).
- Achieve annually established goals for deposit growth and qualified business referrals in the designated market area.
- Partner with branch teams to deepen customer relationships and promote adoption of financial products and services.
Community Engagement & CRA Execution
- Represent the Bank in local organizations, nonprofits, and community boards to enhance visibility and trust.
- Participate in the development and execution of CRA initiatives, activities, and programs; act as the local CRA liaison.
- Coordinate and participate in financial education and literacy programs tailored to community needs.
- Lead the execution of Bank-sponsored events from outreach and promotion to enrollment and follow-up.
- Provide market-level insights to inform charitable giving, sponsorships, and volunteer efforts.
