Job Description

Artnova LLC is a vibrant, community-oriented collection of art galleries that celebrates creativity through photography, painting, and mixed media art from resident and guest artists. We believe art should feel approachable, inspiring, and full of life. We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Gallery Associate to join our team part-time, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role with expanded responsibilities.

This role is perfect for someone who loves being around art, enjoys connecting with people, and is open to learning new skills. At Artnova, we also believe in nurturing creativity—not only for the artists we represent, but for our team members as well. You’ll have the chance to bring your own ideas to the table, whether in how we display art, connect with our community, or share stories online.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome visitors with warmth and enthusiasm, making them feel at home in the gallery.

  • Share knowledge about exhibitions, artists, and available works in a way that sparks curiosity and connection.

  • Support art sales by guiding clients through pieces, pricing, and purchase options.

  • Keep the gallery looking its best—clean, organized, and inviting.

  • Assist with exhibition setup and takedown, including safe handling and placement of artwork.

  • Process transactions accurately for both in-person and online sales.

  • Help maintain inventory and update artwork listings.

  • Contribute to marketing efforts through social media posts, newsletters, and event promotion.

  • Be part of gallery events, openings, and community gatherings.

  • Take on administrative tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine passion for the arts and interest in supporting artists and creative communities.

  • A people person—friendly, approachable, and comfortable engaging with the public.

  • Previous customer service, retail, or hospitality experience is helpful, but not required.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a dynamic environment.

  • Willingness to learn new skills—from art handling and assembly to digital tools.

  • Comfortable using computers, point-of-sale systems, and social media, or willing to learn.

  • Flexible schedule with availability for weekends and evenings.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Lift up to 25 lbs repeatedly.

  • Bend, stoop or kneel, frequently.

  • Climb ladders and stairs while maintaining balance and equilibrium.

  • Use hands to handle, manipulate, and operate small objects and tools.

What We Offer

  • A welcoming, creative environment where your ideas and energy matter.

  • Part-time role with room to grow into a full-time position with more responsibility.

  • Opportunities to learn about gallery operations, art, our artists, and art sales.

  • Space to nurture your own creativity and be part of shaping a vibrant cultural hub in the community.
