Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Responsibilities
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices and expense reports.
- Verify accuracy of invoice data, purchase orders, and receipts.
- Prepare and process check runs and ACH payments.
- Reconcile and process monthly credit card statements.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable files and documentation.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address billing or payment issues.
- Support the accounting team with other administrative and financial tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
- AP Invoice Processing Experience, handling around 25 invoices per week.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with credit card reconciliation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics/Navision.
- Experience in government accounting is a plus.
- Strong technical computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail and impeccable organizational skills.
Work Environment
This role is on-site 5 days per week in Boston. Employees will have their own desk and set up, working closely with a Sr. AP Specialist and reporting directly to the Assistant Controller. The company offers a stable environment within the Defense/Government space
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
