Job Description

The Family Support Services Program Manager will manage a team of 5-6 Family Support Specialists who provide services to DCF high risk families in their communities and homes. The Program manager is responsible for accepting and assigning referrals as well as monitoring caseloads and records of direct reports. The Program Manager is responsible for program contract management, budgeting, reporting to the funding agency, and programmatic oversight of community outreach and record keeping.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work in close collaboration with our Department of Children and Families (DCF) partners, as well as a network of community-based organizations.Accept, assign, and coordinate referralstothe program.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences.Work as part of a larger FamilySupport andStabilizationteam across the agency and the Commonwealth.
  • Prepare and submitbilling and progress reports to the funding agency and DCF area offices.
  • Oversee work performance, provide feedback to employees, for improvement when necessary. Monitor progress and goals throughout the year. Prepare the annual performance appraisal for all direct report staff.
  • Report concerns including but not limited to staff performance to the Director of Home Visiting Programs.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Hire, train, and supervise staff.
  • Provide employees with weekly supervision regarding case management and caseload. Review and approve the required paperwork.
  • Facilitate regular team meetingsto discuss case managementconcernsneedsand provide organizational updates as needed.
  • Create andmaintainrelationships with community partners.
  • Ensure employees receive ongoing training each yea rto provide quality care for clients and themselves.
  • Provideaccess to materials needed to supportwork with clients' needs.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Home Visiting Programs regarding budget and contractual obligations.
  • Work is performed in an officesettingas well as withing the community.
  • Ensureaccuracy of timecards with employee approval.
  • Attendance at internal and external meetings and trainings.
  • Visit client families in their homesas needed
  • Local travel as needed to perform the functions of the position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A bachelor's degree in social workor HumanServices preferred with a minimum of 3-5 years relevant program experience.
  • Strong supervisory skills and at least 3 years of experience supervisingina human service environment.
  • Experience providing home-based services and case management.
  • Knowledge of local resources and experience building relationships with community partners.
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of working with program budgets and contracts.
  • Experience working with the Department of Children andFamilies’programming, assessment, service planning, and case review.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Competent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and remote technology.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation and insurance coverage.
  • Bilingual Spanish/ English//Haitian Creole helpful.
  • Some evening and weekend availability as needed for on-call work.

The base pay range reflects what Catholic Charities reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation in this range may be determined based on other factors, including but not limited to work experience, education and specialty training.
