Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity (GMHFH) seeks a talented professional to serve as its Marketing Manager to support its mission of helping local families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.


Department: Admin Office, In-Person

FLSA Status: Full Time Salary, Exempt

Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend days required

Reports To: Restore Director

Supervises: None, will work collaboratively with other departments


Summary:

The Marketing Manager designs and executes the organization’s marketing strategy to promote critical aspects of GMHFH’s work and mission to targeted audiences. The Marketing Manager is also responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that promote Green Mountain Habitat for Humanity ReStores, drive customer traffic, increase sales, and enhance community engagement. This position designs all graphics, content, and messaging and identifies strategically important platforms, channels, and initiatives for delivering that content internally and externally.


Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Strategize, design, and implement all online and offline marketing tactics for organization-wide programming, including volunteer, development, ReStore, and construction/homeownership programs.
  • Produce marketing collateral and graphics for print advertising, direct mailings, and e-mail campaigns, including campaigns to promote sales, events, and donation opportunities.
  • Plan, promote, and execute in-store and community events, such as sales, donation drives, and special in-store workshops. Coordinate event logistics, working with ReStore managers and staff.
  • Prepare monthly presentations highlighting marketing results and proposals.
  • Create content, post, and manage social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.) Utilize social listening techniques and respond to direct messaging, comments, and reviews when needed.
  • Implement and monitor all paid digital advertising campaigns on Google Ads, Bing, Meta Ads, and Yelp.
  • Maintain, update, and help design our website and write SEO-friendly content and tags when needed.
  • Track, analyze, and report on KPIs and the status of campaigns to the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Manage marketing budgets and media buys (digital, print, TV, radio).
  • Take high-quality, on-brand photos for use in print and digital media. Manage photo library.
  • Drive marketing communications as related to the organization’s three-year strategic plan.
  • Assist the CEO with internal communication to foster an informed, cohesive, and inclusive work environment.
  • Adhere to Habitat for Humanity visual brand guidelines. Adopt an on-brand tone and voice for all internal and external communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications or equivalent degree or relevant experience.
  • 2-4 years of marketing or relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Proven experience creating content, managing, and advertising on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Experience setting up and optimizing Google and Microsoft ad campaigns. Knowledge of Google Business Profile, Apple Business Manager, and Yelp preferred. Experience managing Google ad grants is a plus.
  • Solid graphic design skills and competence with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Basic HTML, website design, and management (WordPress/FireSpring) skills.
  • E-mail marketing and copywriting experience and knowledge of MailChimp, Bloomerang/Kindful, or similar.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications, including MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation range for this full-time, salaried position is currently $60,000-$70,000, dependent on relevant skills and experience. Benefits include a health reimbursement plan (up to $6,350.00 annually, prorated based on start date), a combined 200 hours of vacation and sick time, ten paid holidays, a 5% retirement match beginning after one year of successful employment and a 20% discount at the Habitat Restores.
