Job Overview
Independent family owned construction products firm is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Order Entry person to join our team. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer orders. This position requires strong phone and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This position is primarily entering customer orders into an order processing system, sending orders to the appropriate shipping location, and assigning/arranging freight logistics to best meet customer's requests and deadlines.
Duties
- Order entry
- Provide outstanding support to customer telephone inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order entry processing goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Routine administrative tasks.
Requirements
- Previous experience in order entry and fulfillment is preferred.
- Computer knowledge - Microsoft products
- Experience with SalesPad helpful but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process orders under tight deadlines.
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Knowledge of shipping options (LTL Carriers/UPS/Fed-Ex), helpful but not required.
