About the Role:
Do you have a way with words and a passion for animal welfare? Join one of the nation’s most respected nonprofit veterinary and advocacy organizations as our Marketing Content Editor. Based at our Boston campus, this hybrid role (2–3 days on-site) offers a unique opportunity to create compelling content that supports both MSPCA-Angell fundraising efforts and the Angell Animal Medical Center’s services in Boston, Waltham, and Essex.
We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and detail-driven storyteller who can bring our mission to life across digital and print platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong writing and editing background, be fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite, and feel at home juggling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Content Creation & Editing
- Write, edit, and proofread a variety of materials including blogs, newsletters, brochures, web content, and print collateral.
- Develop content for key audiences: referring veterinarians, clients, alumni, donors, and supporters.
- Interview subject matter experts and collaborate with internal teams to develop engaging and informative stories.
- Digital & Print Strategy
- Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy and optimize client and referring vet engagement.
- Plan and manage Google Ads campaigns; analyze performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Implement SEO strategies using keyword research and SEO tools to boost organic traffic.
- Marketing & Brand Support
- Support the Associate Director of Public Relations in providing media content as needed.
- Edit and format technical articles written by veterinary staff.
- Conceptualize and execute creative campaigns, special projects, and seasonal promotions.
- Manage review responses and help maintain MSPCA-Angell’s strong online reputation.
- Handle marketing merchandise orders and coordinate production of marketing collateral.
- Serve as a key brand ambassador by mastering and applying the MSPCA-Angell tone of voice and style.
Who You Are:
- You have a love for animals and a desire to make a meaningful impact.
- You’re a seasoned writer with 5–8 years of experience crafting content across digital and print.
- You bring excellent grammar, editing, and storytelling skills, and thrive on turning complex topics into clear, engaging messages.
- You’re organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, able to manage multiple projects without missing a beat.
- You have a collaborative spirit and can communicate clearly and confidently with internal stakeholders.
- You think creatively and solve problems with a positive, can-do attitude—even on tight deadlines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator preferred
- Experience with WordPress, Google Ads, SEO tools, and social media platforms
- Knowledge of print production and creative agency collaboration is a plus
