The Town of Canaan has a Full Time opening for a Mechanic.&nbsp; Duties include routinely servicing and performing repairs to all Town-owned vehicles and equipment.&nbsp; This position is also responsible for ordering parts, maintaining stock of supplies and documenting maintenance, and service and repair of all vehicles and equipment.&nbsp;
Candidates must have considerable knowledge of mechanics, use and maintenance of all equipment and tools, knowledge of diesel-powered equipment and skill in their repair, knowledge of hydraulics and vehicle electrical systems, and knowledge of state laws and regulations pertaining to motor vehicle operations.
