General Function

The Encore Boston Harbor Poker Dealer is responsible for accurately dealing poker games in the pit and for the accuracy of fills and credits. Ensures that gaming activity is conducted in accordance with all relevant gaming regulations

<li>Notifies supervisor of any irregularities in the play and/or transactions during the shift.</li>
<li>Adheres to appropriate gaming regulations, policies and procedures.</li>

Age, Gaming and Certifications:
21 years of age or above.
Will be required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
Education and/or Experience:&nbsp; 
High school degree or equivalent preferred.&nbsp; Hospitality, casino or poker dealing experience preferred. &nbsp;
Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent attention to detail.
Must be able to deal Poker. Additional games a plus.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.&nbsp; Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Conversational English required.&nbsp; Ability to write instructions.&nbsp; Ability to effectively present information.
Mathematical Skills &amp; Reasoning Ability:
Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.

Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities:
Lifeguards must be able to supervise swimmers, minimize dangers, educate members about water safety, enforce rules and regulations, prepare records and reports, and provide assistance whenever needed. Lifeguards provide the safest possible environment for YMCA members and participants in the pool area.
 
Responsibilities:

<li>Maintains constant surveillance of the pool area.</li>
<li>Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. Completes related reports as required.</li>
<li>Maintains effective, positive relationships with the members, participants and other team members.</li>
<li>Knows, understands, and consistently applies safety rules, policies and guidelines for the pool and aquatic area. Takes responsibility for implementing and supporting the change of policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate records as required by the YMCA and state/local Health Department code, including but not limited to: chemical testing, bather loads, accident reports.</li>
<li>Performs equipment checks and ensures appropriate equipment is available as needed; this includes rescue equipment and well stocked fanny packs and first aid kits.</li>
<li>Performs chemical testing at appropriate times of the day, as required, and takes appropriate action.</li>
