RESPONSIBILITIES
The Certified Personal Trainer will be responsible for providing one-on-one and couples personalized fitness instruction in person to clients at their home, apartment gym or outside while encouraging them to reach their fitness goals. Responsibilities are as follows:

<li>Customize client workout programs developed from the Initial Assessment</li>
<li>Utilize the Svetness Fitness App for all client sessions, including programming &amp; session notes</li>
<li>Demonstrate each exercise and ensure client is performing correctly with or without modifications</li>
<li>Conduct client Reassessments every 4-6 weeks</li>
<li>Maintain client session appointments through Svetness scheduling software</li>
<li>Able to provide a flexible schedule to accommodate client appointments</li>
<li>Able to commute to and from client sessions up to 45 minutes</li>

QUALIFICATIONS

Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Director, support members and guests in pursuit of their health and wellness goals by providing a positive and enjoyable workout experience. 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
<ol>
<li>Welcome, assist and interact with members.</li>
<li>Stay informed and promote Y programs being offered.</li>
<li>Be on time, prepared for your shift, and adhere to the dress code. Secure an alternate staff member to cover work shift scheduled.</li>
<li>Provide friendly and outstanding customer service.</li>
<li>Supervise all Health &amp; Wellness Center activities while on duty and conduct new member orientations as required.</li>
<li>Respond to incidents, accidents and emergencies appropriately, calmly and professionally; protect the organization and the members from harm or suit.</li>
<li>Report maintenance needs to the Coordinator and/or Director.</li>
<li>Be knowledgeable of and be able to administer the Branch’s Emergency Medical Response Procedures.</li>
<li>Remain calm and objective when under pressure or challenged by others; work with fellow staff members and treat them with respect; be able to answer members’ questions, concerns, and complaints in a timely and courteous manner.</li>
<li>Know and enforce all Health &amp; Wellness program policies, procedures and rules in a consistent, fair and firm manner; communicate and educate in a knowledgeable and professional manner.</li>
<li>Demonstrate teamwork and organization by communicating problems or constructive criticism to the Health &amp; Wellness Coordinator and/or Director and work with them to provide quality programs.</li>

QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>H.S. Diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. </li>
<li>CPR, First Aid and AED or obtain within (3) three months. </li>
<li>Completion of the online course, Orientation in Healthy Living at the Y, within 90 days of hire. </li>
<li>Ability to work with a diverse population and exhibit core YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.</li>

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

<li>Some college coursework completed. </li>
<li>Previous experience in a health and wellness environment.</li>
