Job DescriptionSalary: $30 per in lab record $10 per HST
Scope:
Scoring polysomnographic technologist is primarily responsible for staging/scoring polysomnographic data for both in-lab and HST studies. The technologist must be able to accurately recognize and mark consistently each epoch of data and note: stage of sleep and arousals, respiratory events, leg movements as well as any irregular EEG and EKG findings. Scoring policy and procedures are to be followed and referenced at all times. Program managers should be notified of any concerns with collection quality or patient findings. The technologist must be familiar with all report requirements and procedures for notifying physicians that studies are available for review.
Specific Responsibilities
Analyze and integrate patient information in patient chart in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs (physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history)
Document routine observations to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results as required by policies and training
Scores reports, as applicable and assigned, according to center specific protocols and professionally accepted guidelines
Communicates requests at Client Hospitals to supervisor, and responds as requested
Responsible for uploading of studies to remote server and web portal
Completing on line documentation through Indigo Arc status of study scoring completed and interpretating physician assigned with careful attention to details and policies
Requirements
Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification
Current PPD (Mandoux/TB) results, and other requirements of hospitals
High School Diploma Minimum requirement
Registered Technologist
