Position Title: Mechanical Inspector
Location: Pepperell, MA (On-site)
Salary Range: Up to $65,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Summary
The client is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join their quality team. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to interpret blueprints, particularly with a solid understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles, and be proficient in using precision measurement tools to ensure parts meet required specifications.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect mechanical parts and components to verify compliance with engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.

Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, and primarily a CMM vision system.

Document inspection results accurately and communicate findings to the quality and production teams.

Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve quality-related issues.

Maintain inspection equipment in proper working condition and follow calibration procedures.

Ensure all inspections comply with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and company procedures.
Qualifications

Proven experience in mechanical inspection or a similar role in a manufacturing or precision stamping environment.

Strong ability to interpret blueprints with emphasis on GD&T principles.

Hands-on experience with precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gages, pin gages, CMM vision systems).

Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills to work effectively across departments.
