Seeking an experienced Bar Manager who will lead and own all managerial aspects of the bar. This is not a bartending role — the Bar Manager will focus on team leadership, cost/inventory control, training, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee all bar operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high‐quality guest service (non‐bartending management role).

Manage and control inventory: ordering, receiving, stock levels, usage, waste, cost of goods.

Set and monitor cost controls — beverage cost, par levels, loss prevention.

Develop, implement, and continually improve processes, policies, and standards for bar operations.

Train, mentor, and lead bar staff: hire, schedule, coach performance, develop skills.

Lead onboarding and ongoing training in beverage knowledge, service standards, safety, and compliance.

Collaborate with General Manager / Operations leadership on budgeting, forecasting beverage sales, promotions.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol laws/regulations.

Monitor vendor relationships: negotiate pricing, ensure timely delivery, quality standards.

Monitor KPIs: cost of goods sold (COGS), labor for bar team, guest satisfaction metrics relating to bar.
Requirements

Proven experience managing a bar or beverage program (3-5 years minimum preferred).

Strong financial acumen: inventory management, cost control, budgeting.

Excellent leadership skills; experience in staff training and team development.

Knowledge of relevant state/local laws governing alcohol, health, safety.

Strong organizational skills: able to manage multiple tasks, maintain order, attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both with staff and leadership.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays as required for management presence.
