Our client located in the Hudson, MA area has a 6+ month contract, possible contract to hire opening for an experienced Soldering and Assembly Technician to build high-precision mechanical, optical, and electrical assemblies. This is a 1st shift, hands-on role involves soldering under a microscope and precision measurements in a quality-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble precision components using drawings and specifications
- Perform soldering to IPC J-STD-001 standards
- Work under a microscope with delicate materials
- Mix and apply epoxies for assembly
- Accurately record measurements and maintain build documentation
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in precision assembly (optical/electrical/mechanical)
- Skilled in soldering to IPC J-STD-001 (certification preferred)
- Proficient with measurement tools and basic computer use
- Experience working in a regulated environment, including aerospace or military/defense is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and steady hand coordination
