Summary

Nellie's Treehouse is looking for an infant teacher to work 11:00am-6:00pm. This position requires working with children 6 weeks to over a year. Must be able to follow state rules and regulations and use best practices to create a safe and nurturing environment for babies and a supportive environment for parents. Ability to plan developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences.

Duties

*Work as an integral part of the infant team maintaining daily care routines and state regulations
*Greeting and talking with parents at pick up
*Maintain classroom safety and cleanliness, classroom shut down
*Nurture and encourage child growth and development
*Able to use technology
*Able and willing to go outside year round (weather permitting)
*Work cooperatively with team and administration to ensure state regulations and Nellie's Treehouse policies are adhered to

Requirements

*Must have a minimum of 9 credits in ECE including 3 in child growth and development
*Must be able to pass state and FBI background check
*Able to push and/or lift 40lbs
*Understanding or willingness to learn regulations

About Us

Nellie's Treehouse is a family-owned and operated child care/early learning center located on Route 101A in Amherst, NH. The program opened in 2000, serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years and has a licensed capacity of 69 students. Nellie's provides 5,000 square feet of indoor classroom spaces and sits on an acre of land.

The goal of the school is to ensure the safety and well being of the children at all times and to encourage successful social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth and development throughout the early years. We acknowledge the importance of authentic partnerships with families as they are their child's first teachers. We recognize each child as an individual and utilize developmentally appropriate, play based curriculum to promote independence and foster creativity.

The center is open from 6:00am to 7:00pm and has an open door policy. Infants and Ones are provided diapers, wipes, spring water and whole milk. Twos, Preschool, Pre-k and K are provided breakfast, lunches and 3 snacks.
