Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with acute care experience, comfortable working across multiple medical-surgical telemetry units within a busy hospital environment. The role is focused on delivering high-quality patient care in a floating capacity, covering up to eight different units, including emergency department and mental health sections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide proficient telemetry monitoring, including interpreting cardiac strips every 4 hours.
- Administer cardiac drips and manage care for non-ventilated ICU transfer-ready patients.
- Support medication administration in the acute mental health unit and assist ED with patient care.
- Adapt to varying patient care settings and maintain flexibility in unit assignments.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum two years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Strong telemetry skills with the ability to measure intervals and interpret cardiac strips.
- Experience with cardiac drips and TR Band application.
- Current Massachusetts RN license and AHA Basic Life Support certification.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC.
Schedule:
- Primarily night shifts and every-other-weekend schedule totaling 36 hours.
