Position Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Job Type: Contract (Local or Travel)
Shift: Evening | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Pay Rate (Local): $23 – $28/hour
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support safe and compliant sterile processing operations. The role ensures proper decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization, documentation, and quality compliance of surgical instruments while adhering to ANSI/AAMI standards, manufacturer IFUs, and internal SOPs.
Key Responsibilities

Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments

Assemble and package trays and sets accurately per specifications

Operate washers, autoclaves, and sterilization equipment

Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damage
-
Document missing, damaged, or nonconforming instruments

Maintain sterilization records, instrument tracking, and inventory

Perform routine equipment cleaning and basic maintenance

Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas

Complete computer-based documentation and tracking tasks

Communicate effectively and support workflow improvements
Qualifications
-
2+ years sterile processing experience

Knowledge of surgical instruments, infection control, and sterilization techniques

Familiarity with ANSI/AAMI standards and manufacturer IFUs

Experience with washer disinfectors and autoclaves
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Basic computer skills and strong communication abilities

Willingness to meet required health screenings and vaccinations
Required Certification
-
CRCST, CIS, or equivalent sterile processing certification
